Wildly beautiful place! Off the charts in many ways. Blair, the concierge, everyone was lovely; what a wonderful experience, staying at The Ranch. Their connections to so many top notch services and places around Napa / Sonoma are among the best out there.

one of the most magical times we could have ever imagined From the incredible, breathtaking views, to the pristine,"out of a magazine" house....from the beginning, we knew it would be a trip of a lifetime.

Chef Kelly welcomed us as if we were lifelong friends. Between his menu choices, table arrangements, food presentations and even joining in on an enduring, heartfelt toast, he made our first night absolute perfection. Beginning and ending our trip with Chef Kelly's expertise and presence was an excellent choice with rave reviews by all.

Great stay Great stay in Kenwood. Overall the property was awesome ... Beds were super comfy, pool was great, outdoor fire area was perfect ... The well water was delicious though, right out of the tap. The all-white living room space was a little unnerving for wine country and kids, but we just tried to avoid it and hang outside mostly. Communication with the managers was excellent.

Amazing place Our group LOVED this house and being in such a lovely space truly set the tone for the weekend. Pictures really didn't do it justice. We enjoyed cooking in the gorgeous kitchen and taking advantage of all the amenities. The concierge was responsive and helpful in booking us wine tours, transportation, entertainment, and restaurants that could accommodate a group of our size with quite a few dietary requirements. Hope we can come back!

Opportunity of a lifetime Very few NEW properties exist today that can actually transport you in time! This is one of those place. Besides being in the middle of wine country and on a Zen-like creek. The place is a recreation of a time in the past. The great camps of the Adirondacks. From the time you exit the main road and work your way up the hill, wow! You will be greeted by a caretaker and transported into the past, but everything is new. Amazing creation and attention to detail. Every room had a theme and the space was LARGE from the greatroom, the billards room and patios the incredible bedrooms! We also indulged with a chef (Kelly). - A MUST! The concierge service team was fabulous- setting dinners, wine tastings, cars, even outfitting house with an amazing wine list and foods. We have never had service or been in such a magical place! Ms. Spangler kudos and thank you! We will see you again C.H.

Absolutely excellent! The interior design of the house is beyond unusual, the photograph do not show the attention to detail and uniqueness of each room. Although for some the taxidermy is a bit bizarre but oh so cool! The two floor open layout dramatic kitchen is the centerpiece of the house. The concierge hooked us up with a dream-chef, Chef Kelly's meals were amazing, he used mostly all his own grown vegetables and whipped up some major dinners plus he is so entertaining.

Only one negative, which really is fine if you are aware, the property is quite far out of the beaten-path. Hire drivers if you are wine tasting but stay in for great dinners.

Unique and memorable experience The Calistoga hideout was a unique and fun place to stay and visit Napa. Spacious and comfortable and a >20 min drive into downtown Calistoga and close to a number of wineries. We would stay here again.

Luxurious and amazing property I rentre this property to celebrate a milestone birthday for my wife and some friends and had our best vrbo experience to date. The concierge service was very responsive, the private chef created an unforgettable dinner, and the house was just beautiful with great amenities.

Long Weekend with Friends The property was the perfect place for a long weekend wine tasting with 4 couples. Hiking the hill trails above the house, relaxing in front of the fire pit in the evening and long dinners in the great room. We couldn’t have been happier. Sarah was a life-saver with her recommendations and last minute transportation help. Everything was a pleasure from start to finish. Thank you for a magical weekend.

The St Helena French Farmhouse, in it’s entirety, is designed with impeccable taste.
Attention has been paid to every detail with a Blair inspired Flair for the interesting. The entire property has been carefully curated yet remains comfortable in a space that you both enjoy and RESPECT.


Concierge and Staff - I think is an optional resource, helpful and engaged beyond measure. I cannot imagine our trip would have been as absolutely amazing as it was without their tireless attention to every desire.

The Main house is elegant but relaxed. Suitable for romantic weekends and family gatherings.

Each bedroom is carefully and beautifully appointed. There is simply no space on the entire property that is not stunning in its own way.

The pool area has expansive views and ample space for eating, relaxing, working out, sipping wine and after sipping wine dancing!

The yoga platform was a lovely and serene space to stretch out, see forever and breathe and breathe… and breathe.

I asked all of my guests to share their own review of our trip and the property and they each responded, to the person, with one word…. “Perfect!”

This place is absolutely gorgeous. It provides easy access to all that Napa and Sonoma can provide but you can also hide away for your own private vacation with quiet and beautiful surroundings, I recommend it highly for its' interior design and professional staff as well.

A little slice of heaven Just stayed at the property in August 2021 and had a wonderful time with family. The views are amazing, the rustic French shabby chic style of the main house and pool house enchanted us all. Staff is prompt, responsive and helpful. Chef Kelly was the best!

Peaceful and perfect Let’s face it: 2020-2021 has been tough on families. With trips canceled and parents stretched to the max, life has been stressful. We were all in need of a getaway, and the St. Helena French Famhouse was perfection. The hosts were quick to respond and accommodating to our needs. The communication beforehand was great, including visual guidance for how to drive the last section up the mountain. On arrival, the hosts met us at the time we indicated, had the AC going, the pool ready, and lovely touches like lollipops for the kids and a perfect fruit display for us to enjoy. Each room is a special with unique design touches that delighted us all. The infinity pool is the showstopper of the home, and the majestic views while swimming or while lounging poolside will be a go-to “happy place” in future meditations and dreams. Once we were there, we did not want to leave and really there was no need to. The kitchen was well-stocked and easy to use with a thoughtful layout that any home cook or chef would enjoy. There were piles of magazines to peruse, tea and coffee to enjoy in the mornings, board games, and a fun media room where our kids spent most of their non-pool time. We found it very family-friendly. While the house is loaded with antiques and vintage pieces, they were sturdy enough that we did not fear accidental breakage. The showers were great, and the tub in the primary bath was easy and sumptuous. We dined inside and outside and enjoyed all locations, including a beautiful flower garden bursting with hydrangea. This is a slice of heaven on earth. We hope to return.

Fantastic home for entertaining!

The concierge touch sets this Airbnb apart, with caretakers who meet you to show you around the property and will ensure you have everything you need (for us, all of the kids’ sleeping and eating equipment) as well as arrange services for you like a massage therapist.

Showstopper!! This house is amazing and truly a once in a lifetime experience. The chef, catering and Somalie associated with this property are all top notch. Gorgeous views and perfect home for a large group getaway.

Husbands 40th We had the best time in this truly unique house! Between private tastings with Maria from Fantesca and so many delicious meals prepared by Chef Laurel and her team - we ate well, we drank really well and made memories that will last a lifetime. Blair really made our entire trip perfect. We were elated at every turn by the little details that made the trip so incredible.

I've been a chef for a few smaller events here many years ago. It's a great place to put together food for guests with a beautiful, full kitchen, a pantry and excellent views of Napa Valley from the property.

Great view! Execellent experience! We stayed at the ranch for two weeks with families across three generations. First of all the location was great. High on Spring Mountain amongst great vineyards you really had great vantage. There is a platform with spectacular view where we had private yoga session that the the Blair group helped organise. Speaking of service, the caretakers are available down the road from the ranch most of the day and are extremely responsive. Whenever we needed something addressed or had questions, they were extremely helpful. The villa itself is very well appointed and spacious. We made full use of the pool, media room and the kitchen. Really enjoyed it and would definitely come back. The only thing to point out is that the road to the ranch is not the easiest to navigate particularly at night.

I really don’t have any words to describe the wonderful time we had at The Ranch! Everything was perfect! Please don’t doubt one second to rent this place! It’s totally worth it!

Our nearest and dearest stayed here for our wedding. It was magical. I could never say enough positive things about this place and am currently trying to talk my husband into going back every year for our anniversary!

Beautiful Property The house is beautiful and easily accommodated our group. The best part of the property is how isolated you are and the views are incredible. The only issue we had was our limo driver felt it was unsafe to drive up the mile or so dirt road to the house to pick us up for wine tasting. We had to shuttle everyone down to the main road in our SUV. I would certainly stay here again.

Beautiful property, well equipped to accommodate several families. Owner and team very responsive. You’ll feel like your a million miles away from the day to day stress of the busy world we live in. One of my favorite properties, I rented it again for an annual girls trip!

The Ranch Above in St. Helena We had the pleasure of staying at two of Blair Spangler's properties in 2016 - the Ranch Above in the hills over St. Helena and the Lodge in Kenwood. Both properties are exquisite - the attention to detail in the furnishings and décor is truly impressive, and upon arriving at each property, you immediately get the feeling that you never want to leave. At the Ranch Above, we spent time poolside overlooking the expansive (above above-tree line!) views, and enjoyed using both the built-in outdoor grill and the fully-equipped kitchen for making all our meals. There is also a private yoga/viewing deck on the property where we did some late-night stargazing. At the Lodge in Kenwood, we played games by the fireplace, enjoyed the outdoor bocce ball court and fire pit, and took advantage of the opportunity to walk half a mile down the road for some great wine tasting. If we ever needed anything - from wine tasting recommendations to hot tub instructions - there was a staff member available to answer our questions or show up and assist us. If you are looking for a one-of-a-kind wine country retreat, this is it.

I've stayed at two of Blair's properties now and have had an amazing experience both times (the first time was at The Lodge and The Ranch in St. Helena). Not only are both decorated immaculately, but the kitchen and house are stocked with everything you need (from food mills to Apple TVs in their screening rooms!). She always stocks a huge bowl of fruit and vase of dum dums for her guests :) - something you rarely get from other AirBnBs and VRBOs. Also, her concierge service is fantastic. Because there had been a storm the night before we arrived, a few lights were flickering in and out sporadically. We notified Blair and she immediately had someone come over to fix them, even though we told her they didn't bother us. We will definitely be renting her properties again and can't wait for The Ranch in the Red Woods to open!!

I held my intimate August wedding at a The Ranch Above and it was a dream come true! To say the house and surrounding grounds are stunning is a vast understatement - it was the perfect backdrop to our ceremony and family vacation. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time at the pool and spa, hiking the grounds, barbecuing, and throwing one awesome party! The staff is what really sets this place apart, though. Justin was informative, helpful, and friendly, making sure we had all the tools necessary to fully enjoy the house. Nicole, the event coordinator, was an absolute joy to work with. I think I would have thrown in the towel and eloped if she hadn't been so helpful through my planning process! She met with me whenever I was in town, she sent countless emails back and forth with me, and she managed to coordinate my wedding flawlessly. That girl really worked hard for us! Because of her my family and I were able to relax and enjoy the day. There's not a single thing I'd change about my beautiful wedding day or my time at The Ranch Above. It's an experience my family and I will never forget.
